The entire JD team participated in a design charrette with the stakeholder group from Divine Connections. We then researched local code and zoning restrictions; analyzed similar project types; and identified compatible systems, materials, and technologies that facilitated a “tiny home” culture for those in need. The most important element that the design team wanted to express in each of the prototypes was the desire of the client to ensure that residents would have a sense of dignity within the “tiny home”.

The entire JD[M] team provided comprehensive prototype designs and visioning support for the project and are currently still continuing to work closely with Divine Connections in facilitating raising public awareness, fundraising, and future project development for the community building that will support the overall development.
The JD[M] teamed up with Divine Connections to explore prototype options for “tiny homes” that would be a part of a larger development intended to “provide dignity” to homeless veterans, families in need, and other residents that were in need of temporary and/or long-term shelter. As many of our veterans have disabilities, our team ensured that all prototypes were ADA compliant.
